流山シューレにお子さんを通わせている親御さんに、ご自身の体験を書いていただきました。

シルバーウィーク中にシューレ葛飾中の不登校を考える親の会に夫婦で出かけました。なぜこんな状況なのに登校できているのか娘の本当の心が理解できずに悩んでいたからです。
葛飾中の教頭先生の木村さんに「わが子が危険な国に行きたいって言ったら、ふつうは子供の気持ちを優先させないでしょ？」そう言われて目から鱗が落ちました。
こんなに大きくなってから喘息を発症して眠れないなんて、命をもってして娘は学校に行きたくないと訴えているのだと思いました。命を懸けてまで学校は行かなくてもいいと思いました。
「不登校なう」というDVDを購入し娘に見せると娘は泣きじゃくりながら言いました。「本当は学校なんて行きたくないよー。」そう繰り返し言いながら…。
やっと娘から本当の気持ちを聞き安心しました。早速シューレ流山に連絡を取り、体験に行きました。娘は初日からこの場所を気に入って「お母さん、自分で帰れるから帰っていいよ」と言いました。
それから１日たりとも休まずに電車を２回乗り換えて片道１時間かけて通っています。
学校は家から３分の場所にあります。それでも通えません。
シューレは家から２回電車を乗り換え１時間かかりますが一日も休みたくありません。
毎日が充実し、自分でしたいことを決め友達との関わり方や、距離感など生きていくうえで大切なことを学んでいるようです。
学びは楽しくなければ身に付きません。いじめもないので安心して自分らしく過ごせるようです。子供の安心は親の安心でもあります。遠くに電車通学させても、スタッフさんがちゃんと心を通わせて暖かく見守ってくださっており安心です。子供の顔色、表情、話し方、声色…子供が毎日幸せに過ごしているのが感じられ、主人も私ももっと早くにシューレに通わせるべきだったと反省ひとしおです。喘息もほぼ完治。
学校教育って一体なんなんだろうって疑問が膨らむばかりです。
